Gili Trawangan is the party paradise out of the three islands. Here you can party till morning. Paradise Sunset is a popular night-time destination. There are many Boat host Parties, tourists dance to the rhythm of the music in the middle of the Lombok Strait.
Island hopping
Island hopping provides for an immersive Indonesian boating experience. This can be done through private speed boats or the Island Hopper Boats – a ferry that runs between islands twice a day. You can choose which ever you like.
Visit the night market
Gili Trawangan is the only island selling the exquisite Indonesian and Sasak delicacies at night. Sorry Vegans! because this island is perfect for sea food lovers, Localities selling their freshly caught fish with spicy sauces that's delicious.
Rent a Bicycle and Explore the Island
Gili Trawagan is the perfect size to explore by bicycle!
You can rent bikes for around 45,000 IDR per day from all over the island, and you’ll see many tourists taking to two wheels to explore everything there is to see on Gili T.
The whole island can be cycled in less than an hour and is best done around sunrise.
Snorkeling Trip
The most popular of the things to do on Gili Trawangan is to go snorkeling with turtles.
Most tourists head over from Bali or Lombok especially for it!
Known for its beautiful fish, turtles and underwater statues a snorkeling trip is a must when visit the Gili Islands.
Traditional Massage On The Beach
If you really want to unwind how better than to take a massage on the beach then here is the place.
those who don’t want to party it up with the sound of speakers, how about being put to sleep by the sound of the ocean?
Visit The Gili T Swings
One of the most famous things to do on Gili Trawangan!
With photos on social media making these touristy spots go viral, swings have now been famous all over the island.
Make sure to head down early if you plan to visit at sunset though, as the swings and beanbags can get pretty busy in the evening.
Enjoy Live Music and Sama-Sama Reggae Bar
One of the top things to do on Gili Trawangan is definitely to party.
There are clubs and bars all the way along the main strip of Gili T, but the most recognizable of them all has to be Sama Sama Reggae Bar.
This place is cherished due to its live music shows from different bands performing different genres. Even though their drinks may be a little pricey, the experience is worth it.
Chill At The Many Beaches
Without any doubt we go Indonesia for beautiful beaches.
As you hop off the ferry onto Gili Trawangan you’ll immediately be greeted by crystal blue water and white sand beaches.
It’s clear blue waters in the day make for a great place to hang out, and come sunset it’s full of beanbags – giving a great view of the horizon at golden hour.
Sunset watching
Be it Gili Trawangan, Meno or Air, the beaches make for an excellent sunset watching destination. Casa Vintage Beach, Malibu Beach Club and many other hangout places are prominent destinations as you sip on your drinks and watch the sun melt into the waves of the ocean.
